Essay

“Give me a dollar or I’ll spit on you!” exclaimed Bradley Chalkers to the new kid Jeff. Can you imagine a kid being so terrible? In the book There’s a Boy in the Girl’s Bathroom by L. Sachar Bradley is a terrible kid who does crazy things… I like this story because the story is shocking; it teaches me and the main character courage; and, it has a bittersweet ending. Really, I can’t think of any other stories that I love as much as  There’s a Boy in the Girl’s Bathroom.

The first reason that I love this book is because the story is shocking. In the story, Bradley dosen’t have any friends, and he is a bully. Also, no one wants to sit next to him. And I think if I was him I think I’ll quit the school. But Bradley doesn’t quit his school, so I think that Bradley is also brave. Basically Bradley is shocking all the time! This makes the book fun to read. But there are more reasons why I like the book There’s a Boy in the Girl’s Bathroom.

The second reason that I love this book is because it teaches about courage. In the story, there’s a teacher called Carla and she teaches Bradley but it also teaches me also about try and not to be afraid. Also I’m afraid to try sometimes but now I learned not to be afraid of trying. And also in the story Bradley was really afraid of trying but Carla teached that don’t be afraid to do something so finally he does his homework and works hard. This makes the book fun to read. There’s still one more reason why I like the book There’s a Boy in the Girl’s Bathroom.

I like There's a boy in the girls bathroom because it has a bittersweet ending. In the end Bradley became very friendly and he has many friends. But the sad news is that Carla left the school leaving Bradley alone. Bradley is very sad when he knew Carla was gone. Carla wrote for him a letter that says about Bradley. And he cried. This makes the book fun to read.

I like There's a boy in the girls bathroom beacuse the story is shocking which it pulls me to strong emosion, it teaches about courage, and it has a bittersweet ending so this is why I like this book.
